The Low Carbon Hub IPS Limited
Company no. 31903R
Oxford, Oxfordshire
Incorporation date: 2012

Your money will...

  • Protect the planet by funding pioneering community-owned clean energy solutions.

  • Help fund the development of the largest community owned solar farm in the UK.

  • Put people and community at the heart of the zero-carbon energy transition.

  • Earn interest. Investments target up to 5% interest (capped at 4% for the first 4 years of investment)

The Bigger picture

The Low Carbon Hub is one of the most important community energy organisations out there. Here's why:

  • They manage a growing portfolio of 47 renewable energy projects that produce enough clean energy to power nearly 1,500 homes.
  • They are pioneering new approaches to community-based and scalable clean energy systems.
  • They are at the forefront of innovation, looking at ways to deliver what we need: a zero-carbon energy system that works for everyone and doesn't leave anyone behind.
  • All surpluses from their projects are reinvested in further projects to tackle climate change.

Where your money goes

  • It goes towards rapidly increasing the number of community-owned renewable energy projects including the largest community-owned solar park in the UK.
  • It will help generate 18 GWh of clean green electricity every year, enough to power over 6,000 homes.
  • It will help create £13 million community benefit funding for community projects taking further action against climate change.

    • It’s your money, so it follows that you want to know where it goes and what kind of impact you’re making. Investments in Low Carbon Hub Community Energy Fund will not only support further clean energy projects but also help to fundamentally change the way the UK energy system works. The Low Carbon Hub keeps their investors fully informed with an Annual Performance Summary and Social Impact Report detailing the social, environmental and financial impacts of their projects.
